Post-Fire Community Outreach

This week, in collaboration with Love our trails and Wild Cape Hikes we had the privilege of giving back through a community outreach effort made possible by generous FIRE donations.

After the recent fire, we visited the affected communities to assess the damage and see what support they needed the most.

We kicked off the day by delivering essential supplies and equipment to several areas affected by recent fires and infrastructure damage.

A heartfelt thank you to the CapeNature team for donating 150 fence droppers to help rebuild fencing that was lost in the fires.

We then dropped off water pipes, fittings, and air valves in Heuningvlei to support the restoration of their drinking water supply and agricultural fields.

Our next stop was Kleinvlei, where we handed over maintenance equipment to assist with campsite upkeep and small improvements.

We ended the day in Zuurrug, delivering boxes of clothing, toys, and shoes for local families to share.

Lastly, a small donation of cement was made to Martiensrust to support road repairs on their main access route.

We’re committed to continuing this work and reaching even more communities in need.

Thank you to everyone who contributed—your support truly makes a difference.
